Inserts and over the counter orthodics are a useful way to add cushion and/or stability to running shoes, or everyday shoe. It is often a good first step when you are in the process of deciding whether to consider custom made orthodics. Many of the podiatrists we work closely with recommend over the counter inserts/orthodics.

So how do you find the right one for you? That depends on a number of variables. Our staff is trained to assist you in determining which insert/orthodic is right for you. Once we get an idea of the foot issues that need to be addressed, we will choose the products we think will work best for your specific foot needs. There is usually more than one choice for any given issue so it is important to take the time to try different inserts/orthodics in your shoes to determine which feel the best on your foot.

Common reasons for purchasing inserts/orthodics include:

  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Heel Spurs
  • Excessive Over Pronation
  • High Instep
  • Impact/Cushion Issues
  • Customize Fit
  • Doctor Recommendation
