Salomon Sense Ride

Back in May I received an impromptu tour of Salomon HQ because, you know, I just happened to be in Ogden, Utah. In any case, my buddy Mike grabbed a shoe off their demo shelf and said, “You’re going to want to see this.” As he explained this bright orange shoe, his statement only got more and more correct. Hoka One One Arahi

Over the past few years Hoka One One has broadened their spectrum of products rather substantially. Following the original generations of largely oversized road and trail shoes, we started to see shoes designed a bit more sleek and lightweight. Shoes like the Clifton and Clayton headlined their shift to finding a faster shoe. Altra Lone Peak 3.0

20160718_140212Altra is a brand that was born in the Wasatch Mountain Range of Utah. The Lone Peak, in its origin, was created to withstand the tolls that 100 miles of mountainous wilderness would put on a shoe. The specific 100 miles happened to be a race called the Wasatch Front 100 that presents all types of trail conditions, a shocking amount of climbing and often harsh weather. Read more »

New Balance Vazee Pace 2

20160630_175659New Balance seems to have a thing for making fast shoes. This year’s Vazee Pace is another perfect example of that trend. This lightweight neutral trainer made an impressive debut last summer getting on people’s feet just as race season started to kick off and kids were gearing up for cross country season. Brooks Launch 3
