New England Running Company Owner Dave Menosky

Owner Dave Menosky in a collegiate cross country championship. Dave's running career began in 1973 with a tryout on the high school track team. He also began working at the Athlete's Foot and this began the early foundation for developing a life-long passion for the athletic footwear industry.

Dave graduated with a business degree from Mount Union College in 1980. He was a seven-time OAC All-Conference honoree and qualified for five NCAA championship events He placed 36th in the 1976 Cross Country Championship, and in 1980 finished 11th in the 1500 meter finals.

He continued his post-collegiate career by running for Allegheny Nike until 1986. With PR's of 14:32 for the 5k and 30:18 for the 10k, he managed to complete one competitive marathon (Long Beach, CA, 1985, 2:29.28, 8th place).

He worked for Century Sports as a General Manager from 1988-90, Asics (sales & marketing) from 1990-97, and Marathon Sports (footwear buyer) from 1997 -2003 before the entreprenurial bug kicked in.
